Masters in Public Health

REQUIREMENTS

1.    A candidate who wishes to register must have the minimum University general admissions requirements.
2.    In addition to meeting (1) above, candidates wishing to register for Master of Public Health must have any of the following:
a)    Holders of any of the following degrees, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS), Bachelor of Nursing Sciences (BScN), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.), Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM), from any institution recognized by the University of Embu Senate and at least one year of post-registration experience in a medical or other health related field.           

Or
b)    Holders of a first degree from University of Embu in a discipline closely related to public health and medicine including an upper second-class honors degree in community health, public health, environmental health, biological science, sociology, nutrition, demography, statistics, economics, planning, administration and anthropology, education science.            

Or
c)    Holders of Bachelor of Science degree of lower second class in the discipline mentioned in. a) or b) with three years’ relevant experience.           

Or
d)    Holders of equivalent qualifications to those in a), b) or c) recognized by the University of Embu Senate
